Knock-your-socks-off Infused Game Day Nachos

Infused Game Day Nachos

Did someone say infused Nachos?!

This infused nacho recipe is completely customizable, so you can reach both you’re desired high and foodie goals. Nachos are a quintessential game day food – Easy to share, easy to prepare and crunchy, cheesy, deliciousness. It’s a no brainer.

We are infusing the meat here, with our edibles hack. By infusing the meat and not placing drops sporadically on the nachos themselves, we can ensure even distribution and a higher level of control. This meat can be subbed out for your favourite protein, shredded chicken or some cooked beans, but the seasoning and process of adding the oil will remain the same.

For this recipe you will need:

  • Tortilla chips (the biggest bag you desire)
  • Ground beef
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. coriander
  • 1 tsp. chili flakes
  • HACK: instead of making your own spice blend, one of our favourites to cut corners is from Silk Road Spice Merchant. Sub in 1-2 tablespoons of your favourite cajun seasoning, but mind your salt if you do!
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cheese of choice. We love cheddar, pepperjack, cotjia or queso fresco. Amount determined by your love of cheese.
  • Cannabis oil of choice. Amount calculated by dose of choice
  • 1 tablespoon of neutral cooking such as vegetable oil or olive oil
  • Squeeze of fresh lime to finish meat (1/4 fresh lime)

To prepare the beef:

  1. Heat oil in a medium-sized pan, over medium meat.
  2. Add meat and brown, breaking up meat into tiny pieces.
  3. Add all seasoning while meat continues cooking. Stir well to ensure spices are well combined.
  4. Remove from heat once the meat is fully cooked.
  5. Add a squeeze of fresh lime and cannabis oil of choice. Stir well to combine and ensure the product is evenly distributed.

Remember: cannabis oils and infusions are heat stable, so they will not degrade in the cooking process!

To assemble nachos:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Celsius.
  2. Lay out a thin layer of tortilla chips of choice
  3. Add a layer of cheese
  4. Top with beef
  5. Top with additional toppings of choice (See below). Remember, some items are better uncooked, so hold off on them until the cooking process is complete (ie. salsa, sour cream, avocado etc.)
  6. Lay down another layer of chips and repeat steps 3-4.
  7. Once you have a satisfactory amount of nacho-layering (technical term), place nachos in your preheated oven.
  8. Cook for 15 – 20 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and melted through. Check your nachos periodically to ensure chips do not overly brown or burn. Cook time will vary based on your oven.
  9. Remove nachos from heat and add additional toppings.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
