Ontario cannabis store FAQ
A friendly guide for former ShinyBud customers
If you knew these stores as ShinyBud, or the Oshawa store as Budget Bud, welcome. FOUR20 may be a new name in your neighbourhood, but we have been serving Ontario customers at Pioneer Park in Kitchener since 2022 and Alberta customers for years before that. Our focus is friendly service, great selection, good value and education that never talks down to you.
At the Ontario stores, expect fresh stock and significantly expanded menus across every major product category. At some locations, the selection will grow to as much as twice what was previously available, alongside FOUR20 Dope Deals, clearance finds and more ways to learn.
FOUR20 Ontario stores are in Brampton, Bowmanville, Prescott, Oshawa, Blenheim, Embrun and Kitchener.
First things first: who is FOUR20?
We are a Canadian cannabis retailer that got our start in Alberta in 2018 and opened our first Ontario store in Kitchener in 2022. We have spent years listening to customers, learning products and helping people find what works for them. The name may be new in your neighbourhood. The experience behind it is not.
What changed?
The former ShinyBud stores in Brampton, Bowmanville, Prescott, Oshawa, Blenheim and Embrun are now FOUR20. The Oshawa location was previously known as Budget Bud and operated under the ShinyBud brand. You will see the FOUR20 name on the stores, location pages, Google profiles and online menus. You will also see fresh inventory, significantly expanded selection across product categories, FOUR20 Dope Deals, clearance finds and more Higher Learning resources. At some locations, the menu will grow to as much as twice its previous size. The goal is simple: make the change easy and give you more to explore.
Will it still feel like my local store?
That is the plan. The look and menu will evolve, but the familiar local teams are staying and the visit should still feel friendly, easy and local. Browse on your own, ask a quick question or have a longer conversation. We will meet you where you are.
Where can I find current store details?
Check your individual FOUR20 location page or Google Business Profile before you visit. That is where you will find the current hours, phone number and directions for your store.
Can I shop online?
Our Ontario online menus are being updated. Please contact your local store for current availability.
What happens to my loyalty points, discounts and ShinyBud deals?
Your existing ShinyBud loyalty points will be honoured. We will also do our best to maintain existing discount programs and update them when it makes sense. Menus, prices and promotions will continue to change as fresh stock arrives, including FOUR20 Dope Deals and clearance finds. Ask your local team for the latest details.
Will I see familiar faces in the store?
Yes. The existing store teams are staying, so you can expect to see the familiar budtenders you already know. Those local relationships can continue, now supported by ongoing education led by Dr. Ife and a much broader product selection.
What kind of products will FOUR20 carry?
The exact mix varies by store, but customers can expect significantly more choice across flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, beverages, oils, capsules, concentrates, hash, topicals and accessories. At some locations, the selection will grow to as much as twice what was previously available. That means more brands, formats, package sizes and price points to compare, including categories like topicals that can be harder to find.
What will shopping at FOUR20 feel like?
Comfortable and straightforward. Check the menu and pick up what you know, or take your time and ask questions. We are here to make the selection easier to navigate, whether you have a favourite or are newly curious.
Where should I go for the latest information?
Use your individual FOUR20 location page for its live menu, current hours, phone number and directions. This Ontario FAQ covers the questions shared by all six stores.
Will I still find the products I know and love?
That is the goal. We are paying attention to the products local customers already buy and ask for, while adding far more choice around those favourites. Inventory changes, so individual products may come and go, but you should have more brands, formats, package sizes and price points to explore.
What is FOUR20 Higher Learning?
It is our plain-language approach to cannabis education. Your local budtenders will receive ongoing product education led by Dr. Ife, helping them build deeper knowledge across the expanded menu. Customers can also learn with Dr. Ife on the FOUR20 YouTube channel. No lecture and no pressure. Just useful information and better-informed help when you want it.
Which Ontario stores are now FOUR20?
FOUR20 Ontario stores are in Brampton, Bowmanville, Prescott, Oshawa, Blenheim and Embrun. The Oshawa location was previously known as Budget Bud under the ShinyBud brand. Use each location page for current store details and menus.
