5 ways to share the love for pride month

It’s National Pride Month in Canada and we want to highlight some easy ways to spread love and support LGBTQ2S+ organizations (and each other) this month.

Here are five simple ways to share the love this month:

  1. Wear your support. It’s a small act with impact, but wearing Pride gear is a simple way to show you are a supportive ally. When we released our FOUR20 Pride shirts, our staff loved them and we heard the feedback that we should make the more accessible so we have lowered the price to 50% off for Pride Month. You can purchase FOUR20 Pride tees here. *Please note that FOUR20 is donating to both Calgary Pride and Edmonton Pride organizations to support the work they do, following this month of awareness.

  2. Rock the rainbows. There are many Pride editions of your favourite brands available right now to help you rock your support and give back to the LGBTQ2S+ community. We have released limited edition PRIDE lighters and our friends at Sundial Cannabis have released limited edition Pride vape batteries. You can purchase both in any of our locations.*Please note that FOUR20 is donating to both Calgary Pride and Edmonton Pride organizations to support the work they do, following this month of awareness. Sundial Cannabis is working with Calgary Queer Arts Society OUTReels Program for outreach and education this month.

  3. Get educated. There are many LGBTQ2S+ organizations doing great work to raise awareness and provide education so check out groups like Calgary Queer Arts Society OUTReels Program and the Centre for Sexuality.

  4. Support LGBTQ2S+ organizations. There are some great Alberta-based organizations working with the LGBTQ2S+ community that we encourage you to check out to learn more. Check out our friends at Calgary Pride, Edmonton Pride and Pink Flamingo.

  5. Look for rainbows. Pride flags and rainbows on storefronts are an indication that you are walking into an inclusive space to shop. Again, a small act with an impact.
