Join us on Saturday August 8th for the grand opening of our 17th Avenue location!

While you’re in the area, here are some of our favourite spots in one of Calgary’s trendiest neighbourhoods.

Our doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday August 8th! Find us at 827 17th Ave SW, in the heart of Mount Royal. We can’t join the neighbourhood, and we’re no doubt in good company here.

Made by Marcus

If there isn’t a line-up in front of Made by Marcus, no matter how full you may be, or if it’s the dead of winter, DO NOT MISS THAT OPPORTUNITY. Hands down some of the best ice cream in the city, which makes the constant queues totally worth it. With locally sourced dairy, vegan flavours and insane sundaes, you’ll never be disappointed.

Marcus began slanging ice cream at small markets, but really took off when he hit the scene with the lovely folks at Market Collective. Now you can find their ice cream at various grocers across Calgary, in West Hillhurst, and a new location in Bridgeland opening this summer! And for our YEG fam, MBM opened a location there last year so you can get your fix as well.

Join us for our 17th Avenue opening August 8th and the first 50 people to come by will get a free scoop card for MBM!

V Burger

There is no end in sight for the growing demand for plant-based options, and V Burger is a very welcome addition to the plant-based scene here in Calgary. With a selection of vegan burgers, sundaes and milkshakes and all the delicious diner sides you could dream of, meat eaters, omnivores and herbivores alike have been flocking here to get a taste of the future of fast food. Pro tip: don’t skip the tater-tots. Rule of thumb: never skip tater-tots.

Analog

With a wicked patio for people-watching while you sip your cup o’ joe, what more could you ask for? Whether you’re having a business meeting, study session or just simply in the area, Analog is a must. Bonus: everything from the bakery is scratch made, incorporating traditional methods of European baking with a contemporary approach.

Alumni

We’re suckers for a good sandwich. There is just something so satisfying about perfectly layered meat and bread, and Alumni never disappoints.  Take a peek at their Instagram if you want to make yourself instantly hungry. And there’s options for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian so no one is left behind, because everyone deserves a bomb sandwich. Thank you for coming to our Ted Talk.

The Coup

Vegetarian or not, you will love the flavourful dishes and creative cocktails they are cranking out at The Coup. The restaurant describes themselves as “ethical vegetarian”, with products have been selected based on ecological ethics, allowing for a large percentage of their ingredients to be organic, local & made from scratch.

Betty Lou’s Library

Take a step back in time when you walk through Betty Lou’s hidden door and have a seat in a vintage velvet chair. A passcode lets you into the chandelier lit lounge, serving original cocktails of superb quality. Sip, savour and socialize in this unique space that marries the American 1920’s Prohibition era with Paris’ Lost Generation.
